About the Text Sorter

Arrange names, labels, keywords or other line-based lists using browser locale comparison and optional duplicate removal.

How to use it

  1. Paste one item per line.
  2. Choose direction and optional comparison settings.
  3. Sort and copy the output.

Sorting behavior

A-to-Z uses ascending locale comparison and Z-to-A reverses that order. Case-sensitive mode distinguishes capitalization more strongly.

Example

Pear, Apple and Banana become Apple, Banana and Pear when sorted A to Z.

Notes

Numeric-looking lines are sorted as text. Preserve a copy of the source if the original sequence is important.
