How to use it
- Enter current and voltage.
- Choose DC or single-phase AC.
- For AC, enter the assumed power factor and calculate.

Estimate power from current, voltage and an optional single-phase AC power factor.
This page estimates real power from current and voltage and reports the result in watts and kilowatts.
DC power uses P = V × I. The simplified single-phase AC estimate uses P = V × I × PF.
A 10 A DC load at 120 V corresponds to 1,200 W, or 1.2 kW, in the idealized calculation.
Measured electrical systems can differ because of losses, transients, waveform and phase conditions. Do not use this result to size real equipment.
