How to use it

  1. Enter original and desired servings.
  2. Enter one ingredient amount and optional unit label.
  3. Calculate the scaled amount.

Formula

Scale factor equals desired servings divided by original servings; scaled amount equals ingredient amount times that factor.

Example

Changing four servings to six uses a 1.5 factor, so two cups become three cups.

Notes

Apply the factor to each ingredient separately; practical rounding may depend on how the ingredient is measured.
