How to use it
- Enter positive object speed and choose its unit.
- Enter the detection distance or required resolution.
- Optionally enter a sensor response time for a simple comparison.

Estimate a simple detection time window from object speed and distance.
This timing estimate divides a stated detection distance by object speed.
Available detection time equals distance divided by speed, converted to milliseconds.
An object moving at 2 m/s across 20 mm provides an ideal 10 ms timing window.
The comparison excludes sensing physics, controller timing, mechanical variation and stopping behavior; it must not be used for machine-guarding decisions.
