Estimate a theoretical array size and panel count from daily energy use.
This high-level estimator compares daily energy demand with peak sun hours, panel wattage and an assumed overall efficiency.
Required array kW equals daily kWh ÷ (peak sun hours × efficiency). Panel count divides that array wattage by panel wattage and rounds up.
For 30 kWh per day, 5 peak sun hours and 80% efficiency, the estimate is 7.5 kW. With 400 W panels, that rounds up to 19 panels.
