Estimate liters of paint from wall dimensions, coats, coverage and openings.
This calculator estimates paintable wall area and paint quantity from product coverage and the planned number of coats.
Paintable area equals total wall area minus door and window area. Liters equal paintable area × coats ÷ coverage per liter.
Four 4 m × 2.5 m walls have 40 m² gross area. After subtracting 4 m² of openings, two coats at 10 m² per liter require about 7.2 liters before waste.
Actual coverage varies with surface texture, preparation, application method and product specifications. Use the manufacturer coverage figure.
