Estimate a seed count from area, target seeds per square meter and germination assumptions.
Convert field area into a target seed count and adjust it for entered germination and waste percentages.
Target seeds equal square meters times seeds per square meter. Divide by germination rate, then multiply by one plus the waste percentage.
One hectare at 250 viable seeds per square meter targets 2,500,000 viable seeds before adjustments.
The output is a numerical estimate, not a crop-specific seeding recommendation. Seed size, variety, equipment and field conditions are not modeled.
