How it works
Duration equals data bytes divided by bytes per second. The calculator accounts for the eight-bit difference between Mbps and MB/s.
Example
At an ideal 100 Mbps, transferring 1 decimal GB takes about 80 seconds.
Notes
Actual transfers usually take longer because throughput varies and protocols add overhead.
