About the Aspect Ratio Calculator
Aspect ratio describes the proportional relationship between width and height.
Formula
The decimal ratio is width divided by height. A new height equals new width divided by that ratio.
Example
1920 by 1080 simplifies to 16:9; a width of 1280 produces a height of 720.

Use the same measurement unit for both original dimensions.
