How to use it

Reference logic

Values below 5.5 are strongly acidic, 5.5 to below 6 acidic, 6 to below 6.5 slightly acidic, 6.5 through 7.5 neutral, and values above 7.5 alkaline.

Example

A pH value of 6.2 is placed in the slightly acidic reference category.
