About the Fuel Cost Calculator
This estimator converts a stated fuel-consumption rate into trip fuel quantity and cost.
Estimation logic
Metric rates are converted through kilometers and liters. MPG uses miles and US gallons. Trip cost equals estimated fuel quantity × the entered unit price.
Example
A 500 km trip at 7.5 L/100 km needs about 37.5 liters. At 1.80 per liter, estimated fuel cost is 67.50.
