Calculate frequency from wave speed and wavelength with f = v ÷ λ.
This calculator finds the number of wave cycles per second from propagation speed and wavelength.
Frequency is f = v ÷ λ after converting wave speed to meters per second and wavelength to meters.
A wave speed of 343 m/s and wavelength of 0.343 m gives a frequency of 1,000 Hz.
The formula assumes a consistent propagation speed and wavelength for the medium and conditions under study.
