Calculate floor area for a rectangular greenhouse and reserve a stated percentage for walkways.
Formula
Total floor area equals length times width. Usable area equals total area times one minus the walkway percentage.
Example
A 30 m by 10 m greenhouse has 300 m² total area; a 20% walkway allowance leaves 240 m².
Notes
The result is plan-view floor area only and excludes structural members, benches, equipment clearances and irregular geometry.
