This viewer checks the PDF header and common document information fields locally. It is useful for a quick look at file size, PDF version, estimated page count and standard authoring metadata.
The viewer looks for the PDF version and common fields such as title, author, subject, creator, producer, creation date and modification date. It does not edit the file.
A locally generated report might show PDF version 1.7, an estimated 12 pages, its document title and the application that produced it.
PDFs can store objects in compressed streams or use encryption. This lightweight viewer does not decrypt files or fully parse every PDF structure, so unavailable values remain clearly marked.
