Apply a simple coefficient ratio to convert one entered mole amount to another.
A balanced-equation coefficient ratio can relate an entered amount in moles to a target amount.
Target moles = given moles × target coefficient ÷ given coefficient.
With 2 given moles, coefficient 2 and target coefficient 1, the calculated target amount is 1 mole.
